Went to see Metropolis in Edinburgh film house yesterday. The 1927 masterpiece has been digitally remastered and re edited to include a recently found longer version of the film thought to be lost forever. The last hour did drag a bit, it is silent after all and weighs in at an impressive 3 hours but some of the art deco, modernist cityscapes are great to watch.
